Chamara Red Rice – A Natural, High-Fiber Local Variety from Nayakrishi Farmers
Chamara is a traditional Aman-season paddy variety indigenous to Bangladesh. The rice grains are reddish, medium-long, and slightly thick in texture. Rich in natural fiber, Chamara red rice supports digestion, helps control blood sugar levels, and keeps you fuller for longer.
Grown organically by Nayakrishi farmers in the Tangail region, this paddy is cultivated without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The rice is then collected by Shashya Prabartana directly from the farmers.
After harvesting, the paddy is parboiled and sun-dried following traditional methods. It is then husked using the local Dheki (manual paddy husking system), which preserves its natural nutrition, fiber content, and rich earthy aroma.

চামারা লাল চাল (Chamara Red Rice)
চামারা ধান বাংলাদেশের আমন মৌসুমের একটি স্থানীয় ও প্রাচীন জাত। এর চাল দেখতে কিছুটা লম্বাটে ও মোটা প্রকৃতির এবং লাল আঁশযুক্ত হয়। এই চালে উচ্চমাত্রায় ফাইবার থাকায় এটি হজমে সহায়ক এবং ডায়াবেটিস নিয়ন্ত্রণে উপকারী। এছাড়াও এটি দীর্ঘ সময় পেট ভরিয়ে রাখতে সাহায্য করে।
টাঙ্গাইল অঞ্চলের Nayakrishi কৃষকরা এই ধানের আবাদ করে প্রাকৃতিক ও জৈব কৃষি পদ্ধতিতে। কোনো রাসায়নিক সার বা কীটনাশক ব্যবহার না করেই সম্পূর্ণ স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত উপায়ে উৎপাদিত এই ধান Shashya Prabartana কৃষকদের নিকট থেকে সংগ্রহ করে।
এই ধান সেদ্ধ করে সূর্যের তাপে নির্দিষ্ট প্রক্রিয়ায় শুকানো হয় এবং এরপর কাঠের ঢেঁকি দিয়ে ভাঙ্গানো হয়। এতে করে চালের প্রাকৃতিক পুষ্টিগুণ, আঁশ ও স্বাদ অক্ষুণ্ণ থাকে।
